Materials for Scarf:
12x12 chipboard
12x12 patterned scrapbook paper
Tan cardstock
1/3 yd muslin
7" ribbon
5" flat crocheted lace
Stylus and ruler
Black and Brown distress ink
Old pattern instructions
Safety Pin, Charm, Jumpring
Paper Flower
Scrap of Batting
Instructions:
Cut chip board to the following sizes:
o 2 5 1/2"x8 1/2"
o 1 - 3 1/2" x 8"
o 1 scrap for Dress Form
Cut cardstock strip to 5 1/2" x 2". Attach between chip covers to make book.
Cover chip book with muslin using Fabri-Tac. Glue four corners first, then short sides, then long sides. Set aside.
Notch corners of 3 1/2" x 8" chip using circle punch. Use stylus and ruler to make rut 1/2 inch from all four sides. Ink by dragging black inkpad over chip in one direction. Ink edges. Set aside.
Trace dress form template on chipboard scrap. Cut out. Trace again on muslin scrap. Stamp muslin with decorative images. Cut out muslin ΒΌ" outside the template lines. Snip edge curves.
Glue chipboard dress form to batting. Cut out batting. Lay chip batting side down on wrong side of muslin dress form. Fold muslin edges over and glue to back of chipboard. Ink edges and attach charm with safety pin. Set aside
Cut out dress form stand. Set aside.
Rip 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of old book page or pattern instructions. Distress using ink pad. Set aside.
Make banner from 1"x6" cardstock. Notch ends. Ink edges. Stamp image or word in the middle. Fold at 1 1/2", 2", 4" and 4 1/2".
Attach crocheted lace to distressed black chipboard rectangle by taping ends on the back.
Adhere embellishments in the following order:
o Distressed book page or pattern instructions
o Dress stand
o Dress form
o Banner
o Paper flower
Adhere embellished chipboard to front of cover.
Cut 2 pieces of printed paper 8 ΒΌ" x 5 ΒΌ". Tape black ribbon around one piece, 1" from top to make notepad older. Adhere to bottom inside of book.
Adhere second sheet to top inside of book.
Adhere 2" x 5 ΒΌ" strip of cardstock over raw edges in center.
