Melinda Shaughnessy

I was a customer first and thought Beverly’s would be a fun place to work. My favorite season here is Christmas because our store is very festive with all the lights and trees.

I enjoy helping customers put their projects together and I appreciate it when they bring in their completed projects or their "still in the works" projects because I like to see what they are making. I enjoy helping people with their projects, especially someone who thinks they can’t do it. I enjoy showing them how and helping them see they can be creative and successful.

My creativity is expressed through my floral arranging and scrapbooking projects. I love to sew and I am currently enjoying learning how to knit. Knowing that at the end of the day I have helped customers and that I gave them an experience that they will share with their friends is what makes me want to come to work each day.

My co-workers are fun to work with. They are very creative and good at helping customers come up with solutions to their sewing and craft questions. People enjoy coming into our store because of our family hometown environment. We have what they need to make their creative projects and customers enjoy shopping here because our staff is friendly and helpful. We love to give customers ideas to help them create the project they have in mind. When you visit us, you will find a warm family environment here at the Soquel Beverly’s.
