Snowman Block

Materials

  • Wooden blocks – Two needed. Sizes: 4 X 5 X 2 and 3 ½ X 5 X 2
  • Acrylic Paint - White
  • Felt – Red
  • Buttons – 3 – Green/ ½ Inch
  • Foamies™ - Orange, Glitter Green
  • Jingle Bell
  • Yarn – Red Heart™-

  1. Paint wood blocks white. Let dry.
  2. With two strands of yarn, double crochet a circle until it is large enough to cover the top of the smaller block. Then add 2 ½ more inches. Finish off. Fold up the bottom to make a little “cuff”. Pull over the top of the smaller block to create a “cap”.
  3. Hot glue a pom-pom to the top middle.
  4. Just under the rim of the cap, hot glue the wiggle eyes.
  5. Cut a “carrot” shaped nose from orange Foamie.
  6. Outline carrot using the orange Sharpie™ pen. Let Dry.
  7. Hot glue the buttons to the front of the larger block. Begin in the center just ½ inch from the top.
  8. Hot Glue the carrot nose just under the eyes.
  9. Add 7 dots with the DecoColor™ Marker to resemble coal for a mouth.
  10. Cut a strip of red felt 2 inches wide by 22 inches.
  11. Stack both blocks and tie the scarf securely around the center where they stack. Make a tight knot. Trim the bottom of the scarf and cut fringe 1/8 – 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches in length.
  12. Cut out two holly leaf shapes from the green glitter Foamies™.
  13. Hot glue bell at an angle on top of the scarves’ knot.
  14. Hot glue the holly leaves next to the bell.
