Cut a piece of red cardstock to measure 7 inches by 12 inches.
Fold to measure 5 inches by 7 inches. This will have the right side folding over the left side.
Cut 2 pieces for the belt from the black cardstock. One will measure 3 ½ inches by 1 ¼ inches and the other will measure 4 ½ inches by 1 ¼ inches. The shorter piece is for the outside flap and the longer piece is for the inside flap.
Cut silver glittered cardstock to measure 1 ¼ inches by 1 ½ inches.
With sharp scissors, poke a hole through the center of the square and carefully cut out the center of the square to create a ¼ inch buckle.
Attach the buckle to the end of the outside flap on top of the black belt card stock.
Using double-sided tape, attach the belt to the Santa suit. The top of the belt will be in the center of the suit.
Attach the belt to the inside flap so that it looks to go across the suit in one continuous line.
To the backside of the right flap, add another small piece of black cardstock to cover up the backside of the belt and buckle. Secure with double-sided tape.
To the small back piece of cardstock, attach the Velcro™ dot. To this dot, attach the other side of the dot, with the paper on.
Carefully peel off the outside paper and press the card shut.
This will stick the dot in the correct place on the left flap.
Cut two small sections of the boa to fit the bottom of Santa's suit.
Hot glue in place by drawing a hot glue line ½ inch from the bottom of the suit across the flap, and pressing the boa in place.
To make the tag, use black ink and a tag shaped stamp. Stamp onto a cream cardstock.
Using double-sided tape, stick the tag that you have just stamped and cut out to the silver glittered cardstock. Now, cut out around the tag leaving an edge of the silver cardstock showing.
Punch a hole in the top center.
Tie a piece of the candy cane ribbon though the hole and into a bow.
Using double sided tape, stick the tag with bow to the top center of the card on the right flap.
For the inside of the card, cut a piece of the silver glittered paper a little bigger than your gift card. We ran ours through an embossing machine to give it a scalloped edge.
To attach the card holder to the center of the inside of the gift card, use the red and white Washi tape. Measure the tape down the left and right sides and across the bottom. The corners will overlap.
Gently lift up both the left and right corners, one at a time and cut with scissors from the outside point to the center edge where the papers cross.
Now, pull away the excess tape on the corners to create a mitered edge.
Insert your gift card. Fold card back up and close with Velcro™.
