  1. Choose any size pom pom for the bodies of the bats and spiders.
  2. Then for the head, choose pom pom that is a little smaller.
  3. Hot glue the two together.
  4. For the Bat: If making the bat, trace the attached bat wing and face from the pattern onto a sheet of Foamies™. Cut out.
  5. Using hot glue, add a strip of glue on the inside edge of the wing. Quickly, before the glue can dry, insert it into the side of the bat body. Now repeat on the opposite side.
  6. Hot glue the face onto the center of the head of the bat.
  7. Hot glue wiggle eyes onto the face.
  8. For the Spider: Cut a chenille stem into 4 even pieces. Bend each piece to make the stem resemble a leg.
  9. Add hot glue to the tip of the stem piece and insert 4 of the stem pieces into each side of the body of the spider. (making 8 legs total).
  10. Add eyes of your choice, beads or wiggle eyes.
  11. For the Spider and Web:
  12. Paint the outside piece of the embroidery hoop with the black paint pen. Let dry.
  13. Paint the inside piece of the embroidery hoop with acrylic paint – color of your choice. Let dry.
  14. Add a small bit of double-sided tape to the outside rim of the inside piece of the embroidery hoop. To this, stick the end of a contrasting color of embroidery floss. Wrap the floss back and forth, from side to side, and around the outside rim of the hoop until you have gone completely around the hoop.
  15. Secure the end with another piece of the double-sided tape.
  16. Insert the inside piece into the outside piece and secure.
  17. Add a small spider that you have previously made. (see directions above).
  18. For the Spider Ring: Use a jumbo chenille stem. Wrap stem around your ring finger to measure. Twist the end. Roll the end of the twist around a pencil to create a body of a spider.
  19. Insert 4 legs- each 1 inch long, into each side of the spider, between the chenille stem spiral. When glued, bend the leg in half.
  20. Glue two mini pom poms to the front top of the spider. Now glue 2 tiny wiggly eyes on top of the pom poms.
