Pennant Invitation

Materials

  • Blue Cardstock
  • Melon Orange Textured Cardstock
  • White Textured Cardstock
  • Cornflower Blue Ink Pad
  • Decorative Stamps
  • Darice™ Embossing Folders Flags and Admit One Tickets
  • Label Die
  • Die Cutting Machine
  • Gel Pens - Orange, Blue
  • Washi Tape
  • Double-Sided Adhesive
  • 3-D Foam Squares
  • White Envelope

  1. Cut blue paper to fit envelope when folded.
  2. Place front of card in embossing folder and run through die cutting machine to emboss only the front half of the card.
  3. Stamp the white paper with a decorative stamp, such as "Let Them Eat Cake and Ice Cream".
  4. Run stamped paper through the die cutting machine with a label shaped die.
  5. Emboss the melon colored paper two times with the "Admit One" embossing folder.
  6. Cut out one of the tickets.
  7. Stick that ticket to the front bottom of the card using the double-sided adhesive. Using the 3-D foam squares, adhere the white stamped piece of paper on top of the ticket.
  8. Outline the bottom row of flags that have been embossed with the orange marker. Embellish some flags with washi tape.
  9. Accent the line that the embossed flags are hanging from with the blue marker.
  10. Print on the computer or hand write the words: Food, Games, and Prizes. Outline these words with the blue marker.
  11. Cut words out of the white paper and using the double-sided adhesive, stick to the front of all 3 tickets.
  12. Fold the tickets accordion style so that the ticket on the right can be adhered to the center of the inside of the card using double-sided tape.
  13. Draw a line across the front of your envelope coming from the left top corner down 1/2 inch from the corner on the right side. Embellish line with washi tape pennants.
