Holiday Chenille Stem Ornaments

Create chenille stem ornaments for the holidays with this free diy how-to from Beverly's!

Snowflake Supplies:

5 white chenille stems Needle nose pliers Wire cutters/old scissors Ribbon

Snowflake Directions

1.Cut chenille stems into the following pieces: 3 - 6", 6 - 2 1/2", 6 - 1 1/2" 2.Twist the 6" pieces together at the middle to make a 6 pointed star. Use needle nose pliers to clamp down and tighten the twist. 3.Twist 1-1/2" piece of chenille stem about 1/2" from end of one of the spokes. Repeat on the remaining 5 spokes. 4. About 1/2" from placement of first piece attach a 2" piece using the technique from #3 and continue for next 5 pieces. 5. Select 2 1/2" piece of chenille stem and repeat technique. 6. Attach hanger or ribbon to one of the spokes.

Christmas Tree Supplies:

1 green chenille stem 6 small jingle bells Ribbon for bow (9") Ornament hanger or 8"of ribbon

Christmas Tree Directions:

1. Slide 6 jingle bells onto a green chenille stem. 2. With chenille stem on the table twist chenille stem in a flat spiral shape rolling bells up to top of chenille stem so that you'll have a tight spiral. 3. Pull chenille stem end up from center of spiral toform tree. Adjust bell placement if necessary. 4. Attach hanger and bow to top of tree.

Wreath Supplies:

Pattern (provided) Sequins Red marker Craft glue Ornament hanger or 8" of ribbon Lightweight cardboard & scissors 7 green chenille stems & 1 white Ribbon for bow (9")

Wreath Directions:

1. Cut cardboard wreath using pattern provided. 2. Wrap wreath tightly with chenille stems starting at the back with each new piece. 3. Cut 1 1/2" piece of white chenille stem for candle and color red tip for flame. 4. Use craft glue to attach candle, sequins, bow and ribbon hanger.

Candy Cane Supplies:

Red & silver tinsel chenille stems 3 jingle bells & floss Green ribbon (9")

Candy Cane Directions:

1. Cut red and silver chenille stems to 6" and twist together, bend toform candy cane. 2. String 3 bells onto floss and tie tightly to center of green ribbon. 3. Tie ribbon onto candy cane and make a bow.
