Seeking an experienced retail store manager for our Carmichael location.

Now a large fabric-only store and boasting Sacramento's largest selection of fabric, this location of Beverly Fabrics Inc. has been exclusively named "Yards of Fabric by Beverly's".

Qualified applicants must possess excellent customer service skills, a great attitude and work ethic.

The store manager must set and maintain high standards & expectations of staff for excellent customer service, merchandising & store presentation.

Must have the ability to make quick & sound decisions and understand working with a sense of urgency.

Able to recruit, hire and train staff.

Job Title: Manager/Manager in Training

Summary: Directs the day-to-day operations ensuring profitability through management. Follows company policies & procedures and meets or exceed sales and profit goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Control store expenditures through management of payroll and operating costs. Actively participate in the promotion of Beverly’s by direct community contact, staying current with company-wide advertising and providing sales leadership to staff. Stay current with products, marketing and pricing of area retailers with similar product lines. Maintain adequate inventory levels, store goods replenishment and planning.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess strong leadership skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and provide immediate response to needs. Work with a sense of urgency. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills. Background in retail, minimum 5+ years of retail Management experience. Ability to work 50 hours per week required.

Applicants must be able to oversee the management of the entire store while displaying excellent leadership skills.

Directs the day-to-day operations of an assigned location ensuring profitability through management of staff; store promotion, sales and presentation; security and maintenance; and management of administrative responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess basic leadership skills and the ability to direct staff on a daily basis. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and provide immediate response to needs. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills and the ability to apply those in a friendly and enthusiastic manner on a daily basis. Background in retail management, minimum 3-5 years’ experience in retail management. Experience in sewing and crafts preferred. Must possess basic knowledge of merchandising and color coordination. Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English sufficient for professional communication with customers, co-workers and managers. Basic bookkeeping knowledge/adding fractions, figuring yardage. Ability to work 50 hours per week average within company guidelines.
